The basic fact is that students fail to learn because no one ever taught them how to learn – this is, how to identify the barriers to learning and how to overcome those barriers.
Study Technology consists of tools and techniques that teachers (and tutors) can use to improve the learning rates of students. These same tools and techniques can be used by students themselves to improve their ability to understand and to use the materials they read and study.
One of the focal points of Study Technology is the understanding of three main principles, known as the barriers to study. Knowledge of these three barriers can make it possible for anyone to recognize when they encounter one or more of these barriers and then proceed to overcome them.
Study Technology opens the door to learning and successful application for students of any age.
With Study Technology, a student's learning difficulties and scholastic problems can be a thing of the past. If a student is doing well, he or she can do even better. Study Technology remains vital for continued learning as one leaves school and faces the challenges of life.
Developed by American author and educator L. Ron Hubbard, Study Technology is not just another method of study. It allows a person to learn any subject successfully, empowering them to achieve the goals they have set in life for what they want to be and what they want to do.
